Karinkunnam Grama Panchayat is a Grama Panchayat in Thodupuzha Taluk of Idukki District, comprising Karinkunnam Village, within the limits of Thodupuzha Block Panchayat. The boundaries of the panchayat, which has an area of 22.67 sq km, are Thodupuzha Municipality in the north, Kottayam District in the south, Muttom Grama Panchayat in the east, and Purappuzha Grama Panchayat in the west.This panchayat, located at the southern end of Thodupuzha taluk in the western part of Idukki district, bordering Kottayam district, was once a haven for wildlife.
